Robert Half Accountant- Entry Level in Larchmont, New York
Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in Westchester County. This role is crucial to our team within the real estate industry, where you will be responsible for making monthly journal entries, reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts, and assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately make monthly journal entries as part of the broader accounting process
• Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts to ensure accurate reporting
• Assist with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Investigate and correct account discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records
• Input data into our accounting systems to keep records up to date
• Assist with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes to manage company expenses and income
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Skills:
• Experience in real estate industry is beneficial
• Proficiency in billing processes and systems
• Experience conducting bank reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
Requirements
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
