Eaton Corporation Manufacturing Supervisor-3rd Shift in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor-3rd Shift.

What you’ll do:

Job summary

Supervise, direct and coordinate production activities with employees in order to achieve efficiently internal and external customer service expectations. Develop and enforce accomplishment of operational procedures and metrics. Build Organizational Capability through development plans, mentoring, driving accountability Implement continuous improvement strategy through cost out opportunity project.

Job responsibilities

  1. Select, train and supervise production employees; evaluate performance to assure adherence to performance standards, taking corrective action as required. Maintain awareness of employee needs and concerns and taker steps necessary to foster a positive and productive work environment.

  2. Plan and execute the production schedule, providing supervision and direction to Production Team.

  3. Allocate resources to ensure minimum downtime and completion of scheduled activities. Prioritize and manage workload to ensure assignments address the objectives of the company, department and customers.

  4. Oversee, maintains and ensures safety practices in accordance with safe operations and in compliance with company policies.

  5. Monitor the effectiveness. efficiency and quality of manufacturing roles. Review daily productivity goals and identify root cause if goal was not obtained, report findings.

  6. Ensure application and sustainability of company policies, guidelines and procedures within the assigned team in order to support Safety, Quality and Production Objectives.

  7. Provide employees with necessary operations supplies to efficiently fulfill their roles and production requirements.

  8. Monitor employee attendance / absenteeism and take appropriate action according to company policies.

  9. Plan hourly employees vacation schedule minimizing impact on production operation.

  10. Recommended changes to improved working conditions, production process / methods, equipments / machines performance to increase efficiency.

  11. Participate in departmental and cost saving team meetings when required.

  12. Make necessary adjustment in work procedures, labor force to meet production schedule.

  13. Analyze and resolve employee grievances and assist workers in solving work problems.

  14. Comply with Fill Rate and On Time Performance objectives.

  15. Comply with the Load Plan to avoid back orders.

  16. Prepare and report to Human Resources, any personnel change or movements like: department or shift changes, promotions, recognitions, employee relations issues, etc.

  17. Utilizing Lean six sigma tools recommend changes to improve working conditions, production methods and equipment performance to increase efficiency.

  18. Responsible to learn, understand and show commitment to MESH Programs and initiatives, complying with all the goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Management, Industrial or Mechancial Engineering

  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience in welding, assembly & automation process.

  • Great interpersonal and people managerial skills. Able to demonstrate leadership skills, continuous improvement and change driven. Good problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Bilingual, speak and write Spanish and English. Good computer management and skills#LI-CR1
