Description:

Summary:

Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production of menu items in accordance with venue standards. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of all pizza, pasta and Italian specialties recipes to ensure food preparation is correct and of high quality

  • Prepare food according to regular and special menus on a continual basis

  • Ensure the kitchen area remains clean at all times

  • Clean pots, ware and other kitchen equipment ensuring all sanitizing procedures are followed

  • Communicate regularly with on-coming shift staff, chef, and supervisor on duty to address issues and concerns

  • Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 1 year of previous experience performing same or similar job duties

  • Previous experience working in a high volume pizza parlor or Italian restaurant preferred

  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation guidelines

  • Previous experience working in a team or group environment

  • Able to effectively communication in English, both written and verbal

  • Basic computer skills preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Verify right to work in the United States

  • Frequently push and/or pull up to 35 lbs.

  • Frequently lift and/or carry up to 35 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and/or chest levels

  • Occasionally sit

  • Frequently bend, reach, twist, squat, kneel, and communicate via radio

  • Constant use of hearing and vision, walk, stand, communicate using a paging system, distinguish between shades of color, taste, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
