Description:

Summary: Maintains the reservation book by taking reservations and walk-ins. Greets guests and escorts them to the appropriate table. Assists Manager in preparing venue for service and maintaining the cleanliness and flow of the room

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Must provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and team members.

  • Answer the telephone with in 3 rings to be able to book reservations.

  • Maintain the reservation book with guest name, phone number, time and amount of guest in each party.

  • Maintain the professional appearance of the hostess stand.

  • Properly present clean menus to our guests.

  • Properly Clean, Disinfect and Inspect all menus, discarding worn ones.

  • Monitor the waiting line to determine if there are large parties waiting.

  • Supply guests with information on services available at the Hotel/Casino, including all our restaurants.

  • Handle initial guest complaints. Inform Manager immediately of any problems or concerns.

  • Ensure that all tables are properly set at the start of each shift.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position

  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well-groomed manner.

  • Proven experience in a full service restaurant preferred

  • Superior guest service skills

  • Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with guests and team members.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Verify right to work in the United States

  • Be at least 16 years of age

Physical Requirements

  • Walking and standing most of shift

  • Vision, speech, literacy and hearing (critical)

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Environmental exposures could include; dimly lit areas, dirty, noisy, hazards
