Assembler

The Assembler is responsible for assembling and fabricating various components, parts and wheelchair products. The assembler will interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics to perform the necessary tasks associated with manual wheelchair manufacturing.

Our Assembly department in Lebanon, TN is now looking for a Assembler.

Key Tasks

  • Using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble components and products.

  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Perform tactical tasks required to takt time pace.

  • Ensure proper handling of components and materials.

  • Adhere to production schedules and deadlines.

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve the assembly process.

  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Identify and resolve any issues or defects in the assembly process.

  • Responsible for inspecting and testing finished products.

  • Responsible for maintaining and cleaning their tools, equipment, and work area.

  • Meet production targets and deadlines.

  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action.

  • Follow directions, procedures, and instructions for all work assignments.

  • Work independently and with others in a team environment while maintaining professionalism.

    Your Background

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 2+ years of assembly experience preferred.

  • Mechanical aptitude preferred

  • Proficiency in the English Language (written and oral).

  • Strong communication, reading, counting, and math skills.

  • Working knowledge of hand tools.

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and perform accurate work.

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings preferred.

  • Manufacturing plant; exposure to elements such as noise, dust, cold, heat, and/or odor.

  • Overtime as assigned.
