Sunrun is looking for a Staff Technical Product Manager to join the team of TPMs leading the Core Technology Delivery and Services at Sunrun. The Sunrun Software Technical Product Management team plays a critical role in our company’s success by collectively owning and evolving our industry-leading software products. You will lead the delivery of software integrations, product roadmaps, and reliability of cloud services working closely with distributed engineering teams.

You will work closely with Business, Field, and Technology team resources to ensure all components of our renewable energy business are deployed on-time, easy to implement/modify, and ensure uptime for all product services for our customers.

Due to the highly interdisciplinary nature of this role, and the cross-functional impact of the changes you will drive, you will need to be a respected leader who can effectively communicate, collaborate and coalition-build. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owns the customer problem space, business and product requirements, prioritization and definition of work for the development teams, and results delivery for core areas within the core services domain. Has a mission to redefine what it means to a world-class online experience, improving value for Sunrun, our customers, and our partners.

  • Formulates new, innovative ideas to enhance our platform and end-to-end experience. Builds buy-in from senior stakeholders and executives, and aligns cross-functional teams around scope, requirements, and the product roadmap.

  • Serves as the champion of Sunrun’s customers and adopts a user-centric perspective who builds empathy for different users and personas that use and contribute to usage of our core technologies.

  • Possesses enough commercial and technical depth to effectively guide effort vs. impact tradeoffs in collaboration with senior engineering leaders, senior business leaders and external counterparties.

  • Understands how our platform and processes interact with and unlock value across Sunrun’s business, including how they intersect with our cross-channel go-to-market, operational fulfillment, and our product portfolio and tech stack. Seamlessly integrates platform and process improvements with the rest of our business.

  • Evangelizes product, platform, strategy and roadmap with various functional groups across Sunrun and drives excitement across the organization

  • Owns delivery, integration, and maintenance of our internal/external cloud services products with partnership of Business and Engineering leaders.

  • Leads and defines system/user design considerations into scalable product solutions with business and engineering.

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)

  • 7-10+ Years working as a Technical Product Manager owning enterprise software delivery.

  • 7-10+ Years work experience owning business critical products and technology services.

  • 7-10+ Years Experience working with Full Stack SaaS Cloud/Device platforms (AWS experience preferred).

  • 7-10+ Years Experience within Solar/Financial/Hardware/Retail/AI Software Platforms preferred.

  • Outstanding professionalism and leadership working with Business Stakeholders and Engineering Team resources.

  • Strong sense of ownership and demonstrated maturity to own multiple critical services.

  • Must be an extremely well organized leader (Verbal & Written).

  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to explain key concepts or decisions to a large audience.

  • Innovation mindset and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose solutions.

  • Ability to lead the efficient delivery of projects and define organizational product roadmap goals.

  • Ability to understand, interpret, and author technical solution design/architecture.

  • Positive attitude to correcting system challenges or ambiguous business requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to perform normal office duties.

  • Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work.

  • Ability to interact and participate in meetings.
