Actalent Quality Engineer in Lemont, Illinois
Description
• Develop, implement, and oversee quality audit frequency to ensure proper
appearance and
functionality of our product.
• Develop, implement, and oversee quality testing parameters for our product.
• Develop, implement, and oversee a system of tracking internal defects to report
to supervision
and management.
• Conduct random audits on all manufacturing processes throughout the shift.
• Conduct audits of all products staged for packaging operations.
• Perform root cause analysis and reporting on non-conforming products.
• Segregate nonconforming material utilizing hold tags and notify supervision.
• Stop any process where nonconforming material is being produced and notify
supervision.
• Work with the operations team to develop and implement changes that will
have a positive impact on product quality.
• Maintains records related to all aspects of quality operations
• Must comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company
safety policies
• Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position
at any time
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years’ experience or five years’
experience in a
related quality position.
• Experience must include manufacturing processes in a production
environment.
• Knowledge of quality audits, quality control and quality inspections.
• Knowledge of inspection methodology and techniques.
• Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and be able to work independently.
• Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
