We are a Faith-Based, Non-Profit, boutique-sized Long-Term Care facility (69 beds), nestled in the heart of the Berkshires. Twice voted \"Best of the Berkshires,\" we are sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 2013 and maintain a mission-based environment for our staff and residents. We are seeking to hire a Dietary/Food Service Director to join our dynamic team of professionals. This is a working role, requiring active involvement in every aspect of the Dietary Department. Dietary/Food Service Director Qualifications: 3 years of Food Service management experience. One year of Long-Term Care experience preferred. Active Certified Dietary Manager certification required. Dietary/Food Service Director Job Summary: Plan, cook and serve meals as needed. Develop and revise dietary policies with consultation of Dietitian. Interview, select, orient, and oversee training of Dietary staff. Supervise Dietary staff. In conjunction with the Human Resource Director, carries out disciplinary actions as needed. Make bi-weekly department schedules, adjusting as necessary for absences. Plan menus and develops recipes. Plan theme meals, buffets, parties, etc. with the Activity Director and/or Administrator, and other Department Heads as needed. Coordinate decoration of the Dining room for holidays and special meals with the Activity Director. This is a brief overview of job responsibilities and not intended to be all inclusive.
