Aerotek Assistant Plant Manager in Leola, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Assistant Plant Manager

Job Description

eWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in steel fabrication and hands-on experience in managing manufacturing processes. This role requires working closely with the Plant Manager to lead and coach employees, manage schedules, and handle disciplinary actions when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in all aspects of the manufacturing process.

  • Work closely with the Plant Manager to manage and coach current employees.

  • Manage scheduling of employees and handle disciplinary actions as needed.

  • Oversee metal processing, including CNC Plasma Table, CNC controlled Press Brake, and CNC Turret Punch.

  • Program OTC Diahen Robot (experience is a plus).

  • Perform MIG welding of mild steel (1/8” to 1” thick).

  • Read prints and determine the sequence for fabrication.

  • Assemble machines and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment (electrical and mechanical).

  • Train new employees and enhance the skill level of the existing workforce.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with welding and various types of CNC fabrication equipment.

  • Ability to read blueprints and assemble machines.

  • Management and supervisory experience.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for training and upskilling employees.

  • Experience in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment (electrical and mechanical).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with OTC Diahen Robot programming is a plus.

  • Ability to work overtime consistently.

Work Environment

The work environment is a dirty weld shop that is not heated, so it can be cold. The position is open due to the departure of the previous Assistant Plant Manager who was with the company for 9 years.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Leola, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

Aggregate Equipment offers 401k, medical, dental, and vision health benefits. PTO is negotiable once offer is made. Will typically start with a week in first year, and go up from there with tenure.

This is a fully onsite position in Leola,PA.
