LC State invites applications for the position of Assistant Tennis Coach & Assistant Indoor Facility Manager

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: \$47,325

Degree Required:Bachelor\'s degree in a related field from a regionally accredited college or university

Required Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of NAIA or NCAA rules and regulations.
  2. Collegiate coaching experience or high school coaching experience in the sport of tennis.
  3. Facility management experience
  4. Outstanding skills in communication and organization.
  5. Ability to multitasker effectively; demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making; is an effective problem solver and effectively communicates verbally and in writing.
  6. Ability to travel and work nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master\'s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
  2. Collegiate playing experience
  3. Experience in fundraising and marketing activities including but not limited to lessons, camps, and clinics.

Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and recruit prospective student-athletes to LCSC by identifying academically qualified and athletically talented prospective student-athletes, and communicating and building relationships with prospects, prospective parents, and prospective coaches. Encouraging prospect application and matriculation
  2. Coordinate campus recruiting visits. Instruct team members, individually and in groups, in sport-related skills and techniques, particularly in skills and events as assigned by the Head Coach.
  3. Assist in planning and implementing of all aspects of the tennis program, including team organization and composition, athlete selection and evaluation, practice planning and supervision, and competition planning, scouting and strategy.
  4. Participate directly and/or advise the Head Coach on matters related to team discipline, athlete counseling, etc., requiring discretion, sound decision-making, and independent judgment.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or supervising athletic administrator.
  6. Organize, market, and coach at tennis center- youth clinics and or lessons.
  7. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
  8. Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support the recruitment and retention of students.
