Covenant Health MAINTENANCE MECHANIC II in Lewiston, Maine

JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in repairing and maintaining all machinery, mechanical equipment, and utility systems, facilities wide in a safe and efficient manner. They will be responsible for examining mechanical equipment to diagnose problems, establishing openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fitting, repairing and maintaining plumbing and heating systems. The Maintenance Tech will provide backup support for other trades, including courier services during overload/emergency task schedules, personnel sick, or vacation time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Vocational/Trade school preferred

  • Valid State of Maine Driver's License required

    Experience:

  • 1-3 years previous experience in a Maintenance role required

    Other Skills Required:

  • Basic computer skills preferred

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities required

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills required

  • Ability to work alone as well as part of a team

    An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
