CACHE MOUNTAIN HONEY LLC Farmworkers, Farm & Ranch Animals (Temporary) in LEWISTON, Utah
Temporary Need: 03/15/25 to 11/01/25. Four (4) full-time, seasonal, temporary Farmworkers, Farm & Ranch Animals needed, Requirements: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience with references required as a beekeeper. May not have bee, pollen or honey-related allergies. Must be able to obtain a drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Location: Work will be performed in Petersboro, Utah. Wage is $17.84/hour. Hours: 48 hours/week, Mon-Sat. 8:00am- 4:30pm. Job Duties: Attend to live bees to produce honey and maintain colony health through feed/supplements; Find and cage queens, install queen cells; Assemble bee hives, inserts honeycomb of bees into hives; Force bees from hives; Uncap harvested honeycombs and extract honey from honeycombs; Lift boxes of honey or bees; driving farm vehicle to obtain supplies, honey extracting equipment, and misc. tools used to work with honey bees; minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment, worksite, and colony boxes. Housing- Employer-provided (including mobile or range). Employer provided inbound/outbound transportation to and from the worker's home country will be airplane, charter bus, employer operated vehicle, or other common means depending on the worker's country or State of origin. If a worker is terminated for cause or abandons employment prior to the completion of the contract, and the employer has already paid for the outbound transportation, the worker may be required to reimburse the employer unless such a reimbursement is disallowed under an applicable local, state, or federal law (ex. such a reimbursement is not allowed in New York State). The employer will either provide transportation or reimburse the worker who secured his or her own transportation. The method will be determined on a worker by worker basis based on factors such as the worker's home country (or US State) of origin, means of transportation available to the worker, capacity or lack thereof of worker to purchase his or her own transportation, worker's desire or lack thereof to coordinate one's own schedule, etc. The employer will either provide or pay for an acceptable mode of transportation, or will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved. The employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compensation laws for comparable employment. Applicants that have not worked as a livestock worker during the past twelve (12) months, up to two (2) references will be required. The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work days equal to at least 3/4's of the total work period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or advertised contractual first day of need. Whichever is later to occur, and ending on the expiration date specified. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer shall pay the worker the cost incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer ($15.88/day, maximum $59/day with receipts). The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage issued and determined by DOL for the time period the work is performed (or whichever is the highest rate). This job order is being placed in connection with a future H-2A labor certification application.
