WSP USA Specialist, Project Coordination in Lexington, Kentucky

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Coordinator for our Lexington, KY office. Louisville will also be a considered location. Be involved in projects with our Transportation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

  • Guide staff and assist in project management responsibilities, including oversight of project financial performance, adherence to project management and quality control plans, and adequacy of risk management plans.

  • Assist in the management of Kentucky Transportation projects.

  • Provide leadership, partnering closely with the Local Business Leader and Senior Management Team.

  • Focus on helping our projects meet Key Performance Indicators and contribute to the overall success of Kentucky Transportation projects.

  • Support Transportation business development efforts, strategy development, client engagement and pursuits in Kentucky.

  • Support Project Management with contract administration.

  • Work with Project Management to obtain data needed to complete agreements.

  • Prepares project related reports and analysis.

  • Assist with document controls in support of the project execution.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.

  • 5+ years of relevant post education in engineering and project/program management.

  • Proficient with civil engineering principles, practices, process, and project work-related issues.

  • Detail oriented, highly organized, possess strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to work with virtual team members in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

  • Demonstrated creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgment, and successfully managing multiple projects/assignments.

  • Experience managing and reviewing project deliverables including planning and design documents, project reports, cost estimates, scopes of work, proposals, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Kentucky Professional Engineering License.
