What you will do

We are seeking to add a Materials Planner to our team in our Lexington Production Plant. This role you will be responsible for analyzing shortages and working with suppliers to ensure parts are delivered on time to meet production schedules.

Some of your core responsibilities will include:

•Per plant production schedules, follow work in-process to minimize delays and meet production levels and deadlines.

•Check actual shift production levels, availability of parts and supplies, quantity of products or components requiring rework, inventory levels of specific items and particular work center loads.

•Monitor on hand quantities of material and update Material Control System to maintain the necessary inventory levels.

•Review excess and obsolete materials and eliminate such occurrences.

•Build professional relationships with assigned suppliers and follow up on open orders weekly

We are looking for a resourceful and responsible individual who proficient and skilled as a Material Planner. The candidate we’re looking for should be keen on teamwork, ability to meet deadlines, attention to detail and time management.

In addition, excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary as is the need for fluency in speaking and writing English to communicate successfully with internal, external and global stakeholders.

Education & Experience

This position requires the following:

•4 year degree

•1-3 years experience in manufacturing environment

•ERP system experience, JD Edwards preferred

•Proficient in Microsoft Office
