Accepting applications for Cook in a family friendly, local landmark restaurant. Looking for someone who is a self-motivated team player. Prefer someone who desires a positive and healthy work environment that can follow direction and recipes whether written or verbal. Some experience helpful, but willing to train. In addition, the right candidate will: - Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment for periods of six hours or more. - Have customer service skills - Complete kitchen prep work as needed or assigned - Assist other cooks during rush periods or as necessary - Be familiar with kitchen tasks such as baking, boiling, steaming, grilling, roasting, etc. - Communicate with other members of the team - Lift cases, pots, pans (etc.) up to 50 pounds in weight. - Be able to reach, bend, and stoop, frequently and possess finger dexterity to use knives & small tools adeptly. - Perform cleaning tasks as assigned daily.
