Allied Environmental Services Inc Abatement Services Project Manager in Lima, Ohio

Summary:

Plans, directs and coordinates activities of Abatement Division and its staff to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operation. Maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following but are not limited to the following. Duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the Chief Executive Officer.

 

  • Perform sales and marketing activities to obtain new customers and maintain existing customers for the Abatement Division in all facets of the scope of work (asbestos and lead).
  • Prepare estimates and written proposals.
  • Reviews costs of labor, materials and use of equipment to fulfill provisions of a signed proposal.
  • Engages directly with customers on a regular basis throughout the project to ensure adherence to the terms of the signed agreement.
  • Conducts all asbestos and lead-based paint inspections as required, as well as reports.
  • Monitors all abatement projects to ensure that objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Confer with Operations scheduler to ensure project is properly staffed.
  • Prepares a list of required materials, tools and equipment and reviews with field management for purchase.
  • Establishes work plans, documents, and staffing for each phase of the project, including notifications, waste manifests, NEA documents, etc. for the job packets.
  • Meets with project crew to review the work plan, answer any questions or give technical advice.
  • Directly supervise three to six employees involved in the project. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in conjunction with crew supervisor or leader.
  • Communicate regularly with project personnel to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget. Reviews project status and changes with project crew as needed.
  • Prepares invoices for customers.
  • Prepares any necessary reports for management, customers or other entities.
  • Remains in compliance with all government regulatory agencies.
  • Subcontracts specialized craft work.
  • Coordinates any special requirements with Safety and regularly inspects work site for compliance.
  • Assess hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal alternatives, costs involved to compare economic impact of alternative methods.
  • Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal OSHA rules and regulations and any other government entities whose rules and regulations apply to the project scope of work.
  • Responds to inquiries and provides technical assistance to representatives of the industry, government agencies or the public.
  • Coordinates division activities, operations and sales in accordance with policies and procedures established by the Company.
  • Confer with customers and representatives of associated industries to promote improved and expanded services in the area.
  • Participates in annual budgeting process.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree preferred around Environmental Sciences
