Job Title: Forming Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Forming Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting machines to complete forming parts that meet quality standards. You will ensure efficient production operations, meet proven job rates, complete part inspections, quarantine and label non-conforming parts, and handle materials via forklift (training provided). Additionally, you will record job progress data both handwritten and through the ERP system.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years in a manufacturing environment

  • 6+ months in a machine operator position

  • Preferred 6+ months in a sheet metal facility

  • All new hires must pass a blueprint reading test

Work Environment

This position operates in a sheet metal facility with large warehouses that are heated and air-conditioned. Work hours are from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Thursday with mandatory overtime on Fridays when applicable for the 1st shift. The 2nd shift hours are from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM Monday-Thursday with mandatory overtime on Fridays when applicable. New hires start on Mondays for group orientation. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, and solid t-shirts in company colors (white, black, red, or gray). Denim shorts are acceptable during hotter months. Welders are provided with sleeves, and shirts with the company logo are permitted.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
