We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Plant Accountant in Little Rock, Arkansas. This essential role involves gathering and compiling cost information, maintaining an expense database, and ensuring the accuracy of standard costs. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and play a crucial role in supporting the company and their long-term growth! The salary range will be $65,000 - $80,000 DOE with long-term growth and fantastic team culture!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the monthly financial closing of the manufacturing plant, including preparation of standard monthly journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

  • Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Assist with forecasting and budgeting processes.

  • Track, analyze, and report on plant manufacturing costs and recommend cost-saving measures.

  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation and analyze inventory reports.

  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.

  • Help develop and implement new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.

  • Collaborate with various departments to help define ongoing reporting needs.

  • Prepare various reports and analysis as requested by plant management.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software programs, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
