Actalent Aerospace Sales Engineer in Liverpool, New York

Job Title: Aerospace Sales EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an Aerospace Sales Engineer who will be responsible for new business development, managing key customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. The successful candidate will ethically influence customers' sourcing plans, conduct customer visits, and represent the company at various industry events. Additionally, the Aerospace Sales Engineer will take ownership of new business processes, write business cases, lead capture teams, and provide program management as required. The role also involves market research, forecasting support, and supporting the development of the company's sales and marketing plan.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with key customer contacts in engineering, sales, and procurement.

  • Identify new business opportunities for target programs and/or customers.

  • Ethically influence the customer’s product and/or service sourcing plans to favor the company.

  • Conduct customer visits and prepare and provide general and opportunity-specific presentations.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, operator conferences, and industry events.

  • Take ownership of and shepherd new business through the company’s OEM and Customer Support Product Realization Processes up to award.

  • Write business cases.

  • Lead capture team, including development of Technical and Commercial Proposals, and conduct gate reviews.

  • Write Commercial Proposals.

  • Provide program management after Program award as required.

  • Provide market research and forecasting support as requested.

  • Develop a strong knowledge of existing markets, competitors, products, and technology.

  • Support the development of the company’s Sales and Marketing Plan.

  • Complete other projects and duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

  • This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization

  • Ability to travel as required, typically 1 week per month

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
