Lockport. Diversified Manufacturing. CNC Machinist. $20 - $35/hour.
Diversified Manufacturing is looking for a competent CNC Operator/Machinist to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of machining functions. The CNC Operator Machinist position is responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating a variety of manual and computer numerical control (CNC) machines; maintaining quality, safety standards; and maintaining equipment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Prepare and operate manual and CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, grinding, milling etc. * Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. * Maintains specifications by observing machining operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. * Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines. * Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly. * Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: * Proven experience as CNC Operator/Machinist. * Skill in operating manual and CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools. * Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings. * Mechanical aptitude and good math skills. * A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach. * Good communication abilities. * High school diploma or equivalent.
