About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Barista to join the Chinoiserie team at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages to guests according to hotel standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and functioning properly.
Provide exceptional customer service, greeting guests warmly and accommodating their specific beverage requests.
Create and serve specialty drinks, including espresso-based beverages, in a timely manner.
Monitor and replenish stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage the point-of-sale system efficiently.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a hygienic environment at all times.
Assist with training and mentoring new barista staff, ensuring consistency in service and quality.
Collaborate with other hotel departments to provide a seamless and luxurious guest experience.
Assist in organizing and executing coffee-related events and promotions to engage guests and enhance their overall experience.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Previous barista experience in a luxury hotel, high-end café, or similar upscale environment.
Extensive knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, including espresso, pour-over, and cold brew methods.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with discerning guests.
Ability to create and serve specialty drinks to exacting standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
