Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for Trainee Logistics Specialists to join our Data Center team as part of our Work-Based Learning Program (WBLP). This is an entry level 12-week work and training program.

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS)

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities

• Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers

• Loading and unloading shipments and transporting parts between different locations

• Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspaces

• This position involves frequent lifting of materials and products.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent diploma

  • Are 18 years of age or older

  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required

  • Work 10 hour shifts as needed

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment

  • Knowledge of reverse logistics processes

  • Experience handling vendor relationships desirable

  • Exposure to inventory control and inventory management systems

  • Reach truck license

  • Full clean driver’s license
