The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in driving growth and expansion within our organization. This individual is adept at identifying and nurturing potential opportunities, from initial discovery through to successful contract awards. The role demands a strategic thinker with a knack for data analysis, market research, and relationship building.

This role is designed for a proactive and strategic business development professional eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic and growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Analysis: Spearhead the development of compliant response templates, harness past performance data, and articulate compelling experience narratives to respond to RFIs, SS, and Market Research inquiries.

  • Strategic Opportunity Sourcing: Utilize a broad spectrum of federal business development tools (e.g., BGOV, USASPENDING, SAM, GOVWIN) to uncover and set up systematic searches for opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

  • Opportunity Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations involving incumbent analysis, competitive landscaping, and agency insights to align company capabilities with specific Statement of Work (SOW)/Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.

  • Pipeline Management: Efficiently guide opportunities through their lifecycle, from identification to pending award, ensuring meticulous updates and maintenance of the business development pipeline in the CRM system.

  • Intelligence Gathering: Engage in comprehensive market and competitive intelligence activities, including detailed analyses of companies, agencies, and geographical markets to inform strategic decisions.

  • Capability Alignment: Create detailed capability matrices that align closely with SOW requirements, demonstrating a clear connection between past performances and current opportunities.

  • Professional Engagement: Manage all aspects of opportunity-related communications, including outreach to contracting officers and coordination with internal leadership, ensuring professional and timely exchanges.

  • Presentation and Facilitation: Craft and deliver impactful presentations and briefings tailored to customers and internal stakeholders. Lead business development meetings with well-structured agendas and insightful pipeline overviews.

  • Strategic Contributions: Actively contribute to the formulation of tactical and strategic corporate objectives, leveraging government spending insights, market research, and competitive intelligence to inform business plans and capture strategies.

  • Knowledge Management: Support the organization’s knowledge management initiatives, including information archiving and SharePoint Online administration, to ensure a robust and accessible repository of market insights and intelligence.

  • External Representation: Represent the organization with professionalism and strategic acumen at external events, including conferences, expos, and trade shows, to enhance visibility and foster meaningful industry relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.

  • 2+ years of experience with a degree, 4+ years without a degree supporting Business Development efforts in support of Federal Agencies.

  • Background check.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven expertise in federal market business development, with a comprehensive understanding of the government contracting landscape.

  • Strong analytical capabilities, with a talent for synthesizing complex data into actionable intelligence. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an aptitude for professional networking and relationship building.

  • Demonstrated ability in managing and navigating CRM systems and business development pipelines.

  • Strategic planning and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Self-starter with a collaborative spirit, capable of working independently and as part of a dynamic team.
