University of Louisville Intermittent Temp - Lifeguards, ULGC in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Must be at least 16 years of age and American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certificate or similar lifeguard certification including CPR, FirstAid, and AED for the professional rescuer (current certification or able to receive prior to starting employment).Position Description:This position is responsible for maintaining the safety of swimmers and visitors of the pool facility at the University of Louisville Golf Club in order to mitigate any risks. Lifeguards will be expected to present themselves professionally while at work, completing all tasks positively and efficiently. This position will report to the Facility Operations Manager/Aquatics Manager in partnership with ULGC management.Job Responsibilities:Monitoring water and weather conditionsEnforce safety rules while paying attention to swimmer activities and behaviorTasks not limited to lifeguarding including:Taking out trashMaintaining restroom cleanlinessChecking and maintaining pool water chemistryPerforming general facility maintenance and cleaningOther duties as assigned by Director of Natatorium and Tennis Center and/or ULGC managementThe Athletic Department is committed to creating equitable and inclusive campus environments that accelerate the success of the full range of our students and employees.
