Brown-Forman Manager - Global IT Operations in Louisville, Kentucky

Meaningful Work From Day One

Responsible for the management of the Global IT Operations Support function which provides Level 1 and Level 2 support to Brown-Forman employees. This team is responsible for the daily maintenance of Brown-Forman’s IT infrastructure and ensuring delivery of timely and effective IT services. Manages the Technology Integration area which provides Business Unit specific support through the rollout and integration of technology into each business unit.

What You Can Expect

  • Assists IT Leadership in the development of budgets, resource planning, and project assignments

  • Manages several key partners that provide crucial services around our security operations center as well as our network operations center. Responsibility will also include contract review, negotiations, and budgetary oversight of those partners

  • Manages 24x7 network operations center, which monitors network performance to notify networking engineers of network resource issues

  • Oversees 24x7 security operations center that monitors and responds to security incidents

  • Oversees the installation, configuration and management of infrastructure tools across servers and workstations globally

  • Manages incident and problem management functions, including communication and escalation to level 3/Engineering

  • Partners with Infrastructure and Security Engineering teams to operationalize new technologies

  • Works closely with the Enterprise Service Management team to provide requirements, and develop processes for incident and problem management. Responsibility will also include the maintenance of Incident, Problem, Asset, and Self-Service Programs

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelors or Equivalent in IT or related field with 5-7 years of experience in IT

  • Technical Proficiency: Must understand technology trends, architectures, and tools. This knowledge will help make informed decisions and communicate with other technology teams

  • Leadership Skills: Need to be able to set clear vision, motivate team, foster collaboration, and inspire those on your team to be successful in everything they do

  • Empower Others: Delegate, encourage, and allow the team to take ownership

  • Effective Communicator: Strong communication skills are essential, must be able to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Business Acumen: Understanding the organization’s industry to ensure and aid in making strategic decisions

  • Problem Solving: Will encounter challenges regularly. Need the ability to analyze the problems, identify solutions, and make informed decisions

  • Adaptability: Technology evolves quickly, the person in this position must embrace change, stay updated and adapt strategies accordingly

  • Project Management: Oversees projects with ability to allocate resources, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery

  • Continual Learner: Stay curious and committed, not only for yourself but your team members as well

What Makes You Unique

  • Advanced degree in electronic engineering, mathematics, computer science or equivalent experience in a related technology field

  • Ability to manage medium department level projects/assignments with a high level of complexity and risk

  • Possess the skills to initiate, evaluate, develop, defend, and influence users’ adoption of IT recommendations

  • Advanced certifications in related technologies

  • Experience with NIST Framework (National Institute of Standards and Technologies)

  • Experience with MITRE ATT&CK Framework (Advisory of Tactics and Techniques)

  • Experience with Ivanti Service Manager and/or ITIL Framework (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
