University of Louisville Research Technician I (Oral Immunology and Infectious Diseases) in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 4 (Hourly)Position Description:The UofL School of Dentistry is seeking a Research Technician I for Oral Immunology and Infectious Diseases. This position involves conducting molecular and cellular biology experiments focused on understanding the pathogenesis of oral pathogens, particularly Porphyromonas gingivalis. Essential skills include proficiency in microbiology techniques, genetic engineering, and transcriptomics. Familiarity with statistical analysis and fundamental concepts in microbiology/immunology is beneficial. Responsibilities encompass proper data handling and presentation, supporting lab maintenance, and other relevant duties as needed. Additionally, the position involves devising and validating experimental designs, sampling methods, and analytical techniques, and offering recommendations for their implementation. Training fellow lab members in experimental procedures is also part of the role.
