Syensqo is seeking an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Lead to join our cybersecurity team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of our IAM strategy and systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IAM principles, technologies, and best practices, with a proven track record of enhancing security posture through effective identity and access controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. IAM Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive IAM strategy that aligns with organizational security policies and business objectives. Ensure the strategy addresses user identity verification, access control, and privilege management.

  2. System Implementation and Management: Lead the deployment and ongoing management of IAM solutions, including identity provisioning, Directory Services (Active Directory and Entra ID)), role-based access control, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged access management (PAM), Application Authorization (including SAP).

  3. Policy and Procedure Development: Create and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and standards to ensure secure and efficient access to IT resources. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  4. Access Reviews and Audits: Conduct regular access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with IAM policies and procedures. Identify and remediate any unauthorized access or policy violations.

  5. Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Serve as a key responder in the event of security incidents related to identity and access. Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve access issues and minimize impact.

  6. Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on IAM policies, best practices, and security awareness. Promote a culture of security and compliance across the organization.

  7. Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with IAM technology vendors and service providers. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their access needs and ensure IAM solutions meet business requirements.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in cybersecurity or IAM are highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IAM, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of IAM principles, technologies (e.g., SSO, MFA, PAM), and standards (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).

  • Experience with IAM tools and platforms, such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, SailPoint, or similar.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements related to identity and access management (e.g., GDPR, SOX).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex security challenges.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading a team and engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
