Air Mobility Command Accounting Clerk in MacDill AFB, Florida

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the 6th Force Support Squadron Resource Management Flight, MacDill AFB, FL. Responsibilities Responsible for receiving, counting and balancing cash and negotiable instruments. Balances the change fund, makes purchase of cash and transports the cash from the facility to base deposit central cashier location for FSS business operations. Prepares worksheets, statements, and balance sheet accounts. Prepares reports monthly, quarterly and annually, reflecting different financial conditions in a variety of metrics. Provides substantive support of technical administrative management and/or operational requirements of the Private Organization (and unofficial activity) Program. Provides oversight for and gives technical advice to the community private organizations (POs). Reviews and processes organizational PO documents. Prepares consolidated vehicle reports for submission to Major Command and the Air Force Services Agency. Reviews vehicle requisitions to determine appropriate actions for FSS vehicles. Coordinates actions with all FSS activities, determines and establishes new procedures needed to accommodate unique program requirements of vehicle fleet management. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in work, which provides knowledge of double entry accounting procedures and techniques; knowledge of procedures used to enter, modify, retrieve and delete information in an automated accounting information system; Must have experience with clerical duties and basic windows applications and program. Should be familiar with the usage and reporting procedures of Oracle application or other similar business enterprise systems. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
