Machine Operator – Madison Heights, MI
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00AM - 4:30PM (possible Fridays)
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Kelly Services is hiring for a client, a leading manufacturer of snowplows and ice control equipment, is hiring Machine Operators to join their Fabrication Department . This company values safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate and oversee machinery to ensure accurate and efficient production.
Perform quality checks and audits to maintain product accuracy.
Identify and resolve equipment issues as they occur.
Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Conduct routine equipment maintenance and track production data.
Communicate daily with other departments and shifts.
Keep the work area clean and organized following 6-S principles.
Safely operate a powered industrial truck for material handling when needed.
Participate in team activities, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience: 1-3 years of machine operation experience preferred.
Skills: Ability to read blueprints, perform basic math (including geometry and algebra), and use measurement tools.
Technical Knowledge: Basic computer literacy is a plus.
Work Ethic: Motivated individuals who prioritize safety, quality, and efficiency.
