Job Description: Paid Digital Intern (Coordinated)

Reports to: Deputy Digital Director, Mobilization (Coordinated)

Salary: $15/hour, 10 or 20 hrs per week 

Location : Madison or Milwaukee, WI

Start date: Summer 2024

The Opportunity: As a Digital Intern, you will join the Coordinated Campaign’s digital team as we work to reach voters across the internet. As a part-time intern, you will gain hands-on experience running social media platforms, designing digital content for distribution, and building relationships within our influencer program. This experience will prepare you for a career in politics, marketing, digital consulting, and beyond!

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Draft and schedule content for Campaign social media channels.

  • Design digital assets in support of campaign events and partners.

  • Work with a network of local influencers to share election-related content.

  • Engage digital communities of supporters to generate excitement and distribute content.

  • Occasionally attend on-the-ground campaign events to record content for digital distribution.

  • On year requirements include working outside of normal work hours; including canvassing and other election-preparation as necessary.

  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills - Able to carefully handle relationships with coworkers and external partners.

  • Democratic Mindset - Desire to fight for Democratic values and candidates. 

    Qualifications (Preferred):  

  • Experience designing a social media strategy for a public-facing account.

  • Graphic design and video editing experience.
