JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a neurointensivist to join our team of neurocritical care faculty which features physicians from multiple trainings backgrounds, including Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Emergency Medicine. Responsibilities: The successful candidate would serve as a neurocritical care attending physician at the main University Hospital in Madison, WI. Primary clinical activities include caring for patients with neurological emergencies and leading multidisciplinary rounds in the neurosciences ICU during assigned weeks. Call is equally assigned based on FTE and is dependent on the number of faculty working in the neurosciences ICU. For appointment at the CHS Track: Duties will either be approximately 80% clinical, 10% extramurally funded research, and 10% teaching or approximately 80% clinical, 20% extramurally funded research, depending on the successful candidate. The successful candidate will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. For appointment at the CT Track: Duties will be approximately 90% clinical, 10% teaching or research, depending on the successful candidate. The candidate will participate in department resident, fellow, and medical student education programs. They will teach undergraduates, graduate students, residents, fellows, medical students as well as provide continuing education programs for physicians and the public. The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the rank and in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of the School of Medicine and Public Health and UW Health.
