PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Is to learn all roles & responsibilities of a Field technical Engineer working in the Operation Room and develop skills to support cases and follow up of patients.

You will learn under Abbott employee supervision:

  • Provide technical support of the equipment and assistance over the whole national territory to physicians

  • Learn how to prepare and present a product presentation

  • Provide support to sales team

  • Analyse competitor devices and maintenance update marketing database

  • Perform training concerning use of news products

  • Ensure all standards Abbott Medical Quality Procedures are followed

  • Provide market information to sales department

  • Produce Monthly reports of personal activities

  • Train Field Service Engineers, customers and other colleagues when and as appropriate Compliance with local and corporate policies and procedures.

  • Act as Company ambassador at all time and represent the Company in a professional manner and with highest integrity as the prime contact with facilities, physicians and patients.

  • Prepare all items needed in a neuromodulation Implant.

  • How to attend a case and behaviour in the operation room, what to do before, during and after a case

  • Follow-up of patients, how to programme.

  • Neuromodulation basics knowledge: physiopathology, indications, techniques

  • Learn how to work in a corporate organization.

EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES

Knowledge Skills

  • Relevant Product Knowledge

  • Knowledge in biological, medical and physics science (electricity)

  • Familiarity of follow-up patients

  • Capable computer skills for Abbott field reporting data system and necessary correspondence and spreadsheets.

  • Customer Focus – and results oriented, self-starter

  • Planning and Organizing, capable of juggling multiple projects and accustomed to tight deadlines

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Appropriate tertiary qualification or Medical/Paramedical certification e.g. bioengineer, nursing or Relevant industry healthcare experience.

  • English: High level - C1.

  • Mandatory to make an agreement with a university or school.
