r*About This Role*
The Director of Business and Finance Services has responsibility for all aspects of the financial management for K-State Olathe (75%), supervision of personnel and services related to facilities and building operations and events management, and indirect supervision of IT and Human Resources (25%). The director oversees the financial management of K-State Olathe (operating through Kansas State University). This includes all revenue, expenditures, payroll, capital improvements, bond issues and banking relationships.
They will prepare, monitor and oversee the overall budget and finances for K-State Olathe and work with the K- State Olathe Board, JCERT (Johnson County Education Research Triangle) Authority, and Kansas Board of Regents for approval and reporting of campus budget and finances. These functions also include monthly management reporting, financial reporting, annual audited financial statements, internal audit, and the JCERT audit.
The director will support the dean and CEO with financial planning, business models and analysis to support operation and growth of the campus and its programs. They will also provide analysis and support for the financial operations of business units on campus, develop and oversee SRO policies and procedures, provide support for grant and contract activities on campus, and support campus administration of research activity. The director will continue to evaluate and develop financial policies and procedures for campus operations.

Growth of educational offerings at the campus continue to evolve to meet workforce and industry demands through a variety of non-credit bearing programs that address technical as well as transferable skills. There also are 10 laboratories in research areas currently ranging from food sciences to post-harvest physiology of fruits/vegetables, and new advanced manufacturing and bulk solids technology center.

*Worksite Option*
This position is eligible for hybrid worksite. Work is performed partially remote and partially on employer premises or designated assignment location. This role is expected to work on-site approximately three (3) days a week. Remote work is granted at the discretion of the direct supervisor. *What You\'ll Need to Succeed*
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor\'s degree and five to 10 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Business or appropriate field
8 years of experience in Finance
MBA or master\'s in accounting preferred
Higher Education experience
