\ \ Student Programs Coordinator\ \ Department: 3670009170 Student Supp & Accountability\ Job no: 517501\ Employment type: Staff Full Time (Unclassified - Term)\ Location: Manhattan, Kansas\ Worksite: On-site requirement\ Categories: Academic Advising / Support, Student Affairs / Services\ Pay Grade: 08A\ \ \ About This Role:\ The Academic & Career Engagement Coordinator (Student Programs Coordinator) will collaborate with campus partners in academic advising, financial services, career engagement, and enrollment management to ensure the KSU military-affiliated community including veterans, active-duty service members, their spouses/partners, and their dependents are represented and served in an impactful manner. The Coordinator will serve as a critical campus partner in communicating the specific needs of the student population to campus partners and ensure best practices are implemented in serving the students. The Student Programs Coordinator will receive training as a School Certifying Official (SCO) to understand the intricacies of benefits processing and the impact on the student experience.   • Bachelor\'s degree
  • One year of relevant experience.
  • This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

\ Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master\'s Degree
  • Military and student veteran experience
  • Experience in university and/or academic institutions
  • Direct experience working in higher education with student veterans and military connected students.
  • Experience working with faculty/staff/students in an educational setting.
  • Experience working with the military-affiliated population and knowledge of resources available to the population.
