Bowery Residents Committee RN Supervisor - 127 West 25th Street in Manhattan, New York

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The RN supervisor is an important leader on the team at their site. Responsible for supervising small staff of Licensed Practical Nurses . Partner with the rest of the team to link clients’ medical and psychosocial needs, making referrals and suggestions for medical treatment, psychiatric rehabilitation, and coordinating information with treating physicians, pharmacies and other treatment collaterals. Assess and triage the medical needs of clients and develop, implement and monitor the short term care plan. Share findings and client needs in treatment team meetings and case conferences and through chart documentation and the maintenance of the onsite medication administration record and controlled substance log, including med counts and follow up to ensure adequate medication supply. Work directly with clients to provide health education and to learn and advocate for client health preferences and the development of client health goals through partnership with other team members at the site. Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Related duties as assigned.

HOURS:

Full-time 37.5 hours per week

  • Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

NY State RN license with 5 years strong clinical experience working in ER, urgent care or with homeless persons preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Basic computer literacy required.
