The Pastry Chef is responsible for operating the pastry section of the kitchen while working closely with the Executive Chef and restaurant Chef de Cuisines to plan and execute production and develop seasonal offerings.

As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for:
the day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen.
preparing a wide variety of bakery items following traditional and modern cooking methods and recipes.
developing, designing, or creating new ideas and items for Pastry Kitchen and create new and exciting desserts to engage the interest of customers
coordinating activities of pastry team and other chefs engaged in food preparation.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates must meet the following criteria:
Minimum 5 to 10 years' work experience as a Pastry Chef in a larger operation.
Experience in a Michelin-starred restaurant is an advantage.
Good knowledge of different types of pastry, dessert, cake decorating.
Posses a professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings.
Positive attitude and good communication skills.
