Administrative Assistant IV At Boston Scientific, our products and technologies are used to diagnose or treat a wide range of medical conditions. We continue to innovate in key areas and are extending our innovations into new geographies and high-growth adjacency markets. In Interventional Cardiology (IC) we design, develop, and produce technologies for diagnosing and treating coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular disorders. Medical Conditions we provide solutions for include: Cardiovascular Diseases, Coronary Artery Disease, Acute Myocardial Infarction. We are able to provide a number of solutions to patients that include: Drug-Eluting Stents, Bare-Metal Stents, Catheters, Balloons, Guide Wires, Heart Valves, Coronary Atherectomy and Coronary Intravascular Ultrasound. We have a robust product line and pipeline, and we will continue to make an investment in Interventional treatments. Aboutthe role: The Administrative Assistant IV willprovide complex administrative support for the Vice President of the IC Regulatory Affairs team as well as for the overall department as determined by the VP. They will performmostly routine assignments requiring basic interpretation of established procedures. In addition, the role will require specified training (to be provided) on regulatory specific tasks. Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include: Performing general administrative duties that may include photocopying, coordinating meetings/appointments, typing, faxing, ordering/maintaining supplies, arranging travel, preparing and/or sorting mail. Applyingthorough knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices, and a complete understanding of fundamentals in a functional area, and working knowledge of other related disciplines. Having in-depth expertise in company's core hardware and software package (i.e. creating formulas and macros and working with multiple worksheets in Excel; producing advanced screen shows in PowerPoint; inserting graphics, charts and tables in Word; creating forms, queries and reports in Access). Applying strong business writing, proofreading and editing skills when compiling PowerPoint presentations or other requested files. Serving as a point of contact for customers/vendors.Contacts are frequent within and outside own organization and involve obtaining or providing information on matters of moderate importance to the organization and may be of a sensitive nature. Answering complex functional questions that may require additional research and follow-up. Anticipating and coordinating projects/assignments, organizes own schedules, and that of others, to meet deadlines. May gather and prepare data in preparation of upcoming projects; identifies future needs to complete projects. Making decisions using independent judgment under only general guidelines. Translating thoughts into documents (letters/memos/presentations, etc.) using existing material; ensuring the document is logical and complete as well as accurate in grammar and spelling; makes suggestions for improvements in existing communications. Managing work in a confidential manner, ensuring information is shared with internal and external individuals in an appropriate manner; provides guidance to peers as necessary regarding proprietary information. Engaging FDA and other global regulatory bodies to complete administrative and payment transactions.
