Job Information:

Summary: Provides operational support to Virtua customers in the areas of Inventory/Supply Management. Plans, guides and directs shift operations for efficient workflow of the receiving, storage, preparation and distribution of materials, equipment and products within the Virtua Service Center. Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the assigned shift and areas of responsibility, to achieve supply chain goals and objectives, including key performance indicators (KPIs). The Warehouse Management System (WMS) will be the primary method of controlling and optimizing inventory. Provide leadership and mentors direct reports. Is the Supply Chain liaison for all customer service matters, a resource for all customers to ensure that supply needs are met throughout Virtua. Collaborates with the transportation department to deliver products through the health system. Position Responsibilities:

  • receiving discrepancies, product returns (vendor & facility), low inventory levels etc.

  • Modifies schedules of staff to appropriately to meet or exceed department expectations. Requests equipment or vehicle repair and maintenance, as needed.

  • Addresses concerns in advance, avoiding crisis situations.

  • Checks e-mails/voicemail, faxes and phone for supply requests and/or delivery/product issues and either resolves or forwards information to appropriate personnel for resolution.

  • Communicates constantly with supply chain leadership, customers and co-workers to ensure customer needs are met and consistently. Passes along critical information which may impact product demand. Provides solutions to problems/issues.

  • Ensures staff understand their customer base and customer expectations; demonstrates a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

  • Use of Warehouse Management System (WMS) for all inventory transactions, controlling and optimizing inventory. In addition low unit supply pick system/s and the enterprise resource planning (ERP) planning system for financial information.

  • Leads and develops the orientation and training of new employees and others as requested.

  • Performs such other job related duties as may be assigned.

    Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years materials management experience required, in health care preferred. Will consider a degree in lieu of experience

  • Receiving and storing, distribution/warehouse environment, preferred.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.

  • Novice to Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and other related software programs.

  • Working knowledge of inventory management system/s, warehouse management system.

Required Education:HS degree or equivalentTraining/Certifications/Licensure:

Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Passing Virtua Supply Chain certification is a required term of employment.

Valid driver's license may be required.
