Position summary

We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Business Coffee Expert to join our newly formed Academista by Nestlé Professional team and be part of our vision to be the best-in-class coffee partner! As a Coffee Capabilities Specialist, you will be responsible for developing coffee capabilities for our commercial teams, external partners and customers, enabling Nestlé Professional’s ambition. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Factory, Commercial and Technical Service Teams) to upgrade our coffee excellence service internally and externally! A day in the life...

  • Create training material for Academista Educational System (SCA or non) based on approved layout and under the guidance of the Coffee Expertise Lead

  • Deliver Coffee Trainings at Nestlé Professional’s Premier Training Campuses

  • Create coffee-related content for NestleProfessional.gr or external media (interviews, articles)

  • Provide support to the Coffee Expertise Lead at the implementation of Academista events and design coffee events at customers upon planning

  • Build strong relationships with Coffee Community and develop strong ties with Coffee Organizations (SCA, CQI, etc)

  • Act as Consultant for Out Of Home Customers in collaboration with Commercial teams in developing training material for customers

  • Participate in the design of Nestlé Professional commercial events (e.g. HORECA involvement) & be responsible for end cup quality of beverages and baristi training and presence

  • Participate in Innovation & Research projects in collaboration with Marketing & Factory Teams and be the lead Coffee Expert in projects’ procedures such as briefing, evaluating and sensory testing

  • Participate at the Sensory Evaluation tables and lead relative sensory panels of own responsibility (in collaboration with Sensory Specialist)

  • Handle Product Complaints in collaboration with Factory teams and in alignment with Brand Teams

  • Coordinate equipment across all Premier Training Campuses to safeguard best in class readiness for trainings

What makes you successful

  • Certification as an SCA Trainer for the Coffee Skills Program (AST) is required

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the coffee industry, including coffee sourcing, brewing, quality control, and customer service. Experience as a Barista or coffee professional is preferred

  • Extensive understanding of coffee varieties, origins, flavor profiles, and brewing techniques

  • Experience in conducting training sessions and educating staff members on coffee-related topics

  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to engage with customers and address their inquiries or concerns

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to solve problems related to coffee sourcing, inventory, and quality control

  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs, schedules, and industry trends

  • Fluency in English

  • Ability to travel

  • Presentation Skills/ ppt skills

  • Valid driving license
