Job Title: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, the candidate will lead and manage a team dedicated to financial planning, analysis, and forensic accounting. Responsible for providing strategic financial insights, ensuring the integrity of financial data, and driving the organization's financial performance. This role involves managing an analyst and collaborating with various departments to achieve the organization's financial goals.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in financial planning & analysis, forensic accounting, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Familiarity with forensic accounting principles, practices, and techniques.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP & EPM systems, data visualization tools).

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

  • Prepare and review annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.

  • Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, to the Executive Director and other stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of financial plans with organizational goals.

  • Conduct forensic accounting analysis to detect and prevent financial fraud, misconduct, and irregularities.

  • Investigate financial discrepancies and irregularities, providing detailed reports and recommendations.

  • Assist in legal and regulatory investigations by providing detailed financial analyses and reports.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a financial analyst, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.

  • Set clear performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.

Strategic Support:

  • Work closely with the Executive Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to support strategic initiatives and special projects.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of long-term financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

  • Provide expert financial advice to senior management, helping to shape key business decisions.

  • Lead financial due diligence and valuation analysis for potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments.

  • Develop financial models to assess the impact of potential acquisitions, divestitures, or joint ventures.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to evaluate transaction opportunities and risks.

  • Conduct feasibility studies for new business initiatives, expansions, and capital investment projects.

  • Assess market conditions, competitive landscapes, and financial viability of potential business ventures.

  • Prepare investment memos and presentations to support executive decision-making.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance related to M&A activities.

  • Monitor post-merger integration performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
