SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for collecting, interpreting, and identifying trends in data. The role will require the development of standard and ad hoc data reports to be used in financial reporting, performance improvement activities, and other operational reports related to Bon Secours Mercy Health’s Paducah market. They will perform these duties while meeting the mission and goals of Bon Secours Mercy Health ministry, as well as meeting the regulatory compliance requirements. Provides team/project management leadership. The Sr Financial Analyst will act as a liaison between finance and operations.

*This position is on-site at our Mercy Health Kings Mills Hospital (5440 Kings Island Dr, Mason, OH 45040).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Data analysts responsibilities include: collecting, interpreting, and identifying trends in data, developing standard and ad hoc reports, maintaining databases and/or applications that store the data, assisting in any imports or exports of the data, performing periodic audits of data sources, maintain a current knowledge of healthcare trends and operations

  • Examines historical and projected financial data to provide senior management with valuable data upon which to make relevant financial decisions. Responsible for the coordination, preparation and analytical review of the monthly financial report. Monthly reviews of departmental expenses for accuracy, comparison to budget, projections and keeping management apprised.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS

Required Minimum Education:

4 year/ Bachelors Degree

Specialty/Major:

Finance, Business or relevant discipline

Preferred Education:

Graduate Degree (Masters)

Minimum Years and Type of Experience:

3-5 years experience in finance or similar field preferred

Combination of post-secondary education and experience in lieu of a degree.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Solid knowledge of Microsoft office products with high proficiency in MS Excel. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and attention to detail. Self-starter able to proactively navigate through various areas and hierarchies to accomplish position goals.
