Actalent Product Compliance Manager in Matthews, North Carolina
Job Title: Product Compliance ManagerResponsibilities
Manage processes, not people, with no direct reports.
Own and develop processes to the highest level.
Develop and maintain the Company’s Product Compliance Program using a collaborative team approach.
Serve as the Company’s Subject Matter Expert on all product regulatory compliance matters, facilitating all compliance-related responses.
Provide solutions for materials and compliance issues.
Coordinate technical communication between test labs and engineering teams, assisting in the identification and troubleshooting of safety or EMC related issues.
Actively participate in design reviews of new products to ensure safety and EMC compliance.
Create and maintain required product regulatory documentation such as the Technical Construction File, Risk Assessment, and Declaration of Conformity.
Work with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs) to obtain test quotes, test reports, and product safety approvals.
Represent the company in quarterly regulatory audits for NRTL-listed products, ensuring compliance and addressing any findings.
Monitor applicable standards and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance of products and documentation with regulatory requirements.
Support internal customer requests with proper compliance documentation.
Coordinate, gather, and manage supply chain information to meet ongoing environmental and substance restriction regulations such as RoHS and REACH.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
BS Degree in Engineering
8+ years of experience as Compliance Engineer/Manager (or related)
Working knowledge of IEC, EN, UL, CSA safety & EMC standards
Understanding and familiarity with EU regulations such as LVD, MD, EMC, RoHS, and REACH
Experience with EMC/FCC testing & troubleshooting
Experience listing products with Certifying Bodies such as UL, Intertek, TUV, MET, etc.
Experience compiling Test Plans, Technical Documentation Files, Declarations of Conformity, Risk Assessments, and Gap Analysis
Excellent research and project management skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage compliance projects and initiatives with minimal supervision
Work Environment
The company offers a collaborative and cross-functional work environment consisting of mechanical, sustaining, and development teams. Relocation packages are available if necessary, varying depending on the situation. The individual will have the opportunity to own and develop their processes to the highest level.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
