Pike National Bank Full-time Teller - Tylertown in McComb, Mississippi

Summary of Duties: Tellers are the initial contact to our valued customers or future customer.  You will greet our clients with a smile and perform all of the other paying and receiving duties while following PNB's policies and procedures.  It is essential that you enjoy working with the Public and have an outgoing personality that allows you to promote and sell our products and services.

 

Specific Duties

:

 

  1. Processing customer transactions such as deposits, transfers, withdrawals, credit card, ATM transactions, money orders, official checks, loan payments and all other transactions and functions in association with a paying/ receiving bank teller.
  2. Exercise good judgment and discretion while performing within the bank's guidelines, policies, procedures and performance standards.
  3. Identify customer needs for bank products and services, matching products and services to those needs, while ensuring quality customer service and outstanding customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing
  5. Responsible for the security of cash and transaction documentation
  6. Responsible for handling large volumes of cash and balancing individual cash drawer on a daily basis
  7. Must be continuously aware of fraud loss and check cashing guidelines as well as all security/ audit policies and procedures
  8. Responsible for Regulatory Reporting requirements associated with the teller position
  9. Subject to performing cash shipments between branches and performing vault teller functions
  10. Required to train other tellers as needed
  11. Complete and successfully pass required skills test
  12. Contribute to meeting any PNB's goals and objectives
  13. Complete work-related reports and educational computer courses in between customers, assigned by management.

     

Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Cash handling experience or sales experience
  • Conscientious worker with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to perform multiple daily tasks and work under pressure with speed and accuracy
  • Excellent attendance
  • Professional appearance and cooperative attitude
  • Understanding of customer service techniques, PC/10 key functions
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 50 lbs. if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Subject to working any shift hours Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
