Electro-Mechanical Technician

Covington Pay Rate:

$26 to $32 per hour (Depending on experience) Schedule:

Mon- Fri 10am-6pm (30 min lunch)

This role is essential for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of manufacturing production equipment.

* Basic Duties and Responsibilities*

Experienced working with analog machines and a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on analog corrugated machinery.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and address equipment-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in the installation and set-up of new equipment as needed.
  • Provide training and support to operators on proper machine usage and maintenance.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and schematics
  • Bilingual Spanish is a Plus+++

Basic Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a technical degree or certification, is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an electromechanical technician, preferably in the corrugated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of analog machinery and electromechanical systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, blueprints and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • 100% mechanically inclined.
  • Able to use hand tools (box cutters, wrenches, screwdrivers, vice grips).
  • Able to read a ruler/tape measure (Metric system knowledge is a plus)

Considered a plus

  • Ruler/tape measure using the Metric system
  • Any experience in the paper or corrugated industry
  • Spanish speaking
