DeCrescente Distributing Company Outbound Warehouse Order Selector in Mechanicville, New York
The Outbound Warehouse Order Selectors are responsible for the safe and accurate selection, checking and loading of product onto route trucks, and ensuring that all company safety policies are followed at all times. In addition, Outbound Warehouse Order Selectors perform other work assignments as directed by the Outbound Warehouse Manager.

Essential Functions:
BusinessUtilize the voice pick system, retrieve product from the pick area for beverage center and/or route truck for pick-up or delivery
Verify the accuracy of each load based on the load sheet and coordinate with the loader to ensure corrections are made as necessary
Palletize and shrink wrap product when necessary
Load route box and side-load trucks by order or by specific brand
Check for damaged product to ensure that product does not get loaded and shipped to the customer
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by the Night Warehouse Manager
People
- Support Re-stockers, Loaders and Checkers in their respective functions
Self-Organization
Pick-up breakage, miscellaneous wood, and plastic from the work area
Maintain general housekeeping standards
Conduct end of shift cleanup procedures
Productivity – all selectors must maintain a pick rate of 250+ cases per man-hour.
Quality (Accuracy & Breakage) – all selectors are expected to achieve or exceed the goal of .51 cases/1,000 case equivalents picked.
Required Skills:
High School graduate or general education degree (GED)
3 months or more warehouse or related experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to comply with company safety procedures
Ability to safely operate all required equipment (i.e. Forklift, Walkie Rider.)
Work Shift Requirements:
Ability to work additional hours as needed.
Use and maintenance of company-issued equipment.
Must speak to supervisor to notify him/her any time prior to the beginning of work shift when calling in sick. Voice mail or e-mail messages are not acceptable replacements.
Environment & Physical Demands
Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures
For all on-the-job injuries or accidents, must notify Safety Officer, supervisor, and Human Resources immediately (no later than 1 hour)
Ability to lift 20-40lbs on frequently – workload requires lifting at least 250 cases of 20-40 lbs. each per hour
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 165 lbs.
Ability to stand or walk for extensive periods during each shift
Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, twist and crouch
4-day work week- Monday through Thursday with a 6:00pm start time.
