Langlands Restaurant & Bar

Langlands Restaurant & Bar is modern in nature but at the same time, rustic in character. We offer a fresh, colourful, sustainable and approachable dining experience, with updated menu’s that change with the seasons. Our kitchen provides Victorian sourced produce, married with a local beverage list.

Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage

Based on site in the Melbourne CBD, the Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage will help build, coach and lead a team of motivated and passionate hospitality professionals.

The Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage will be responsible for assisting the Venues Manager and Restaurant Manager with the smooth and efficient operation of Langlands’ Restaurant & Bar, Events and In-Room Dining

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Run and manage shifts in all outlets as required; buffet breakfast service, lunch and dinner a la carte and events

  • To focus on guests and team member satisfaction and constantly looking at ways to improve the guest and team member experience via feedback channels

  • Assist with the onboarding, training and development of team members, and implementation of training programs

  • To monitor promotional tracking and reporting in a timely matter

  • Ensure guest complaints are handled and communicated in a timely and satisfactory manner

Qualifications:

About you:

  • Previous proven managerial experience in a premium restaurant or 5 star-hotel

  • A current Victorian RSA Certificate

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, train and motivate team members

  • A true foodie, with sound Victorian product knowledge

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to implement learning and development strategies and programs

  • The confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure

  • Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
