General Summary
The primary objective of Client Service Manager role is to enhance Layne\'s Water Treatment business by driving client experience as well as increasing sales revenue in media and change out service projects. Explains merits of programs to persuade client to purchase treatment services. Attempts to resolve problems encountered with client\'s water-treatment processes. Sells water-treatment media and chemicals to clients. Performs follow-up tests on water in customer water system, utilizing knowledge of chemical treatment practices. Observes changes in water analysis and explains and recommends amount and type of chemical additives for necessary water treatment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Create aftermarket programs to develop a revenue stream associated with water treatment media and preventative maintenance programs
- Work with engineering team to cost installation of company products
- Create and execute plans for driving growth in the targeted markets
- Schedule Layne personnel and 3rd party subcontractors accordingly
- Manage Layne subcontractors and execute applicable subcontractor agreements (MSA/PSA) and installation of company products to assure quality and profitability
- Provide cross-functional leadership and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors and internal team
- Evaluate risk management for each customer and proactively evade dissatisfaction or lost business, ultimately driving retention throughout the customer life cycle by building strong, long-term relationships with customers and efficiently resolving issues with alternate solutions tailored to client needs
- Serve as a product, company, and industry ambassador, keen on educating customers on the capabilities of our water treatment solutions
- Drive net recurring revenue growth by creating and optimizing upsell and cross-sell strategies
Job Requirements:
Proven track record in Water Treatment aftermarket management, including experience in building client relationships, strategic planning, leading bids, and managing teams.
Experience in forecasting techniques for purchasing and selling water treatment solutions.
Commercially focused, creative, and self-driven with the ability to originate complex commercial solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both in listening and confidently communicating complex chemical solutions.
Strong people-management, organizational, collaborative, inspirational, analytical, influencing, and motivational skills.
High levels of personal initiative, motivation, credibility, and integrity.
Experience in networking to manage numerous customers across an extensive territory.
Willingness to travel as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor\'s degree in engineering (preferred) or business administration
Minimum of 10 years\' experience in water treatment field service management
Maintain a strong working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, ensuring the company\'s adherence to these regulations, and remaining current on the industry\'s standards and new innovations and materials
