About the job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Kids Club Team leader role to join the Sports & Leisure team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait.
Your main duties will include:
General
Meet, greet and acknowledge every member, in-house guest and colleagues using the facilities
Be fully in-charge of all gym inductions, health appraisals and fitness assessments
Plan, develop, and implement age-appropriate and engaging activities and programs for
Report for duty wearing complete standard issue of uniform and name badge
Adhere to the arranged daily shift and weekly days off as displayed on the duty roster however, must be accepted that it may vary at short notice due to fluctuations of our business
Uphold the Jumeirah Code of Conduct at all times
Adhere to the Business Conduct and Ethics Policy
Adhere to the Conduct on Duty and in Public Areas policy
Adhere to the Jumeirah Grooming Standards
Adhere to the Jumeirah Telephone Standards
Be aware of the Fire and Safety regulations and procedures of property and know the close down and evacuation procedures and location of the Assembly Point
Administration
Carry out general administrative duties e.g. telephone calls to members, faxing, photocopying, filing, etc.
Deal with member and in-house guest daily enquiries
Schedule administrative time at off-peak times when other colleagues are available to cover the gym floor
Fill in productivity reports daily
- Operational
Arrive 10-minutes earlier before the shift starts
Carry out tasks on the Daily Opening / Closing Checklist and ensure kids club/ areas is closed to the standard you would want to open it with
children, both indoor and outdoor.
Design a variety of recreational, educational, and creative activities that cater to different age groups and interests, both indoor and outdoor on daily,weekly, monthly bases, including birthday parties and special events.
Supervise children in the Kids Club, ensuring their safety, well-being, and adherence to established rules and guidelines.
Maintain a secure environment and always follow proper child supervision protocols.
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of Kids Club attendants.
Provide guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure they deliver excellent customer service and engage children effectively.
Interact with parents and guardians, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and special requests related to the Kids Club activities.
Foster positive relationships with guests, providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Manage administrative duties such as scheduling, record-keeping, and inventory management.
Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports.
Order and organize supplies and equipment needed for Kids Club operations.
Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols, including emergency procedures, first aid, and child protection guidelines. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards.
Cover the reception areas when necessary.
Financial
Be aware of the departmental / individual budgets and targets on a weekly and monthly basis
Be aware of your individual responsibility in ensuring the budgets and targets are met
- Other Duties
Must attend social functions as and when required
Cover other areas of the department such as reception and water sports when required
Must attend departmental events as and when required
Must be the backbone of the S&L department with a goal to please every member and guest
Attend a minimum of 6 hours training per month including any in-house training organised
Swipe in / out of the Time Attendance System
Check messages and read memo’s in the departmental communication logbook and in the memo file on a daily basis
Attend regular communication meetings and daily briefings
Assist with other departments within the property and undertake any other duties, as and when required by the S&L Manager.
Qualifications:
About you:
1 – 2 years' experience in similar capacity.
Work in a multicultural environment.
Certification in Fitness Instructing
Excellent communication skills
