Emerson Production Planner Sr. Advanced in MEXICALI, Mexico

Mainly activities include monitor production orders generated or required by the system or expedited by the Customer Service department, assigning the workload to the different production lines under their custody, verifying that they have the resources required for the process and following up on the orders from their beginning to their destination.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Analyzes the lists of work orders generated by the MRP system, advising to the purchasing department and to the manufacturing lines under its charge about those orders that had problems with a shortage. Negotiate and expedite delivery dates and follow up until the order is closed.

  • Analyzes the dispatch list of each of the lines under their charge to verify that all orders are in Manufacturing, Warehouse or Packaging areas as appropriate.

  • Maintains close communication with the Master Planning Leader, seeking their work order listings are clean, preventing a work order from lasting more than four days without being released for production, and negotiating the rescheduling of the orders that exceed that period.

  • Analyzes reports of open orders to reduce the number of expired orders, elaborates the list of shortage for future orders and distributes them to the areas involved.

  • Reviews wrong programmed work orders and makes the corresponding adjustments

You possess strong analytical skills, adept at interpreting data and forecasts to optimize production needs. You translate numbers into actionable plans, ensuring efficient use of resources. You bridge the gap between departments. You clearly communicate production plans, material requirements, and potential bottlenecks to ensure everyone is aligned. You anticipate potential issues and proactively develop solutions. When unexpected challenges arise, you stay calm and collected, finding creative solutions to keep production moving.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, International Business or related areas.

  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, line balancing, customer service, reporting and graphics and interdisciplinary work.

  • Proficient communication in English and Spanish.

  • Knowledge of MRP / CRP / MPS.

  • Efficient in the use of MS Office (Excel) and desirable experience in the use of Oracle.

  • Experience using Office software, especially Excel
