Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems US, LLC Field Service Technician in Miamisburg, Ohio

Perform installations, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for new, upgraded, or existing precision cutting equipment, including computer aided manufacturing (CAM) cutting tables and other computer automated digital cutting equipment that uses software, programmable logic controls, and computer-based interfaces to automate processes. Review diagrams, schematic drawings, and other technical documents related to precision cutting equipment, its circuitry, and electronic components. Inspect and test equipment. Diagnose faulty operation of equipment. Develop and implement solutions and needed repairs. Collaborate with company's hardware support team in troubleshooting equipment failures. Communicate clearly and professionally to the customer and the company regarding equipment diagnosis and recommended actions. Answer customer's questions and obtain customer's approval to perform recommended service before proceeding. Communicate with customer and the company on status of installation, preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and/or repair work. Train customers on the operation and day-to-day maintenance of hardware and software integrated into precision cutting equipment. Complete service calls in a timely and accurate manner with courtesy to customers. Complete service reports and other company paperwork accurately, promptly, and according to company procedures. Assess functionality of spare parts recovered from precision cutting equipment that is replaced with new or upgraded models. May train junior field service technicians.

Experience Required: 60 months of experience performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. Experience must include 60 months of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment that utilizes programmable logic controls (plcs) and other software applications and computer-based interfaces.  All experience requirements may run concurrently.

Must have or be eligible for California state driver license by start of employment.

Schedule: Full-time position, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional evenings or weekends depending upon business needs.

Travel:  Travel to various unanticipated locations throughout the United States based upon the company's business needs with the primary focus on service calls to various unanticipated customer sites in California and the western United States. May travel occasionally to various unanticipated customer sites in Canada. Must reside anywhere within the State of California.
